Salt, Angelina Jolie’s recent spy movie, left me thinking that it is basically a re-working of the Bourne series (starring Matt Damon) but with a female lead. The chases through the city, the flashbacks, almost everything was very Bourne. But despite this,  it still came out well and easily stands on its own as a good movie. I read on the Wikipedia page that Tom Cruise was the first choice for the lead role, and thank god they didn’t go down that route. Jolie does a brilliant job as the American/Russian/American spy Evelyn Salt. Oh, it looks like there will be a sequel too. xD
